Employing our MRP share program under contract with our major suppliers, CCSD is able to manage material flow, and thus risk, for all our customers. Arrow and Avnet Electronics maintain in-plant stores which are supported and managed with full time sales resident at CCSD. These systems allows CCSD’ suppliers to pipeline material and have it available on hand to support CCSD’ lean system of just-in-time delivery. |

Manufacturing floor control through a bar code-based WIP system This internally developed “real-time” system allows CCSD to track all production WIP at anytime. This system also prevents products that move in a “single-piece” flow to be stopped at any point if a prior process has not been completed. |

CCSD’ lean inventory system and the use of in-plant stores by Arrow and Avnet minimize obsolete parts and excess material. Notification to CCSD by suppliers of any parts going obsolete in the future allows CCSD to work with its customers to plan an end-of-life strategy. |
